Mount Kailash a holy mountain peak (6714m) situated in Tibet is known as the dwelling place of lord Shiva with his wife Parbati, daughter of Himalaya Parbat (hill). According to Hindus myth this peak is known as the Kailas Parbat. For Hindus this place is their ultimate destination of pilgrimage, so they believe that by revolving the base surrounding of this peak they will salvation after death and purification of the sins they have committed throughout the life. It carries not only the spiritual embodiment for Hindu but keeps great value to Buddhists and Jains also. Jains take this peak as such place where their first seer or prophet had got transcended of his knowledge and Buddhist who are follower of ancient sect Bon religion take this place as the symbol of enlightenment so they also make circumambulation of this place. As it is an abode of lord Shiva, many of the Hindu devotees visit this place for their spiritual satisfaction. This place is equally attractive for those who are fond of natural scenery and landscapes, especially of the mountain peaks and snowy lakes. On the lap of Kailash Parbat there are two lakes Mansarover and Rakshas Tal which are symbol of God and evil as well as divine and satanic force respectively. Mansarover is regarded as the manifestation of Lord Brahma which represent he omnipotence of mind of Brahma. Hindu believe that by taking bath in this lake one will transcends her or his life towards heaven to reach the Brahma's paradise. Similarly the Rakshas Tal represents the sense of evil force this provides the sense of contradictory forces as mentioned in Hindu mythical epics. Kailash Manasarovar Yatra-2020 Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Lucknow/Gorakhpur drive to Nepalganj (altitude 135 meters) – 4 hours.Day 1: Arrival at Lucknow/Gorakhpur drive to Nepalganj (altitude 135 meters) – 4 hours.
Arrival at Lucknow (India), pick up form Airport/Train station and drive to a small town Nepalganj (Nepal) which is 165 KMs from Lucknow, at dinner time program briefing. Overnight at Nepalganj. Accommodation in a 3 Star Hotel on twin sharing.Food: Dinner.

Day 2: Fly to Simikot (altitude 2900 meters) – 50 minutes.
Early morning shift to Nepalganj airport then we will take a small mountain flight to Simikot / Hilsa, from the flight we will enjoy the beautiful ecstatic view of Himalayan valley. Rest, acclimatize (high altitude) at Simikot/Hilsa. Accommodation in a standard hotel on 2-6 sharing.Food: Vegetarian Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 3: Fly to Hilsa Border (in a Helicopter) and Drive to Taklakot (altitude 3900 meters) – 25 minutes fly, 1 hour drive.After breakfast we will fly to Hilsa border in a Helicopter. We will go through immigration process before crossing border (China-Tibet), after immigration we will meet our Chinese guide andNepali crew then drive to Taklakot town. Accommodation at Taklakot in a 3 star Hotel on 2-4 sharing.Food: Vegetarian Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 4: Drive to Lake Manasarovar (altitude 4700 meters) – 40 KMs, 1 hour drive.
After breakfast we will drive to Holy Lake Manasarovar. It’s Very auspicious day for all the people who will have first glimpse of Holy Manasarovar Lake, Rakshash Taal and view of Mt. Kailash. We will continues drive & complete Lake Mansarovar round on the way we will find a good place to take beautiful memorial groups picture.Food: Vegetarian Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 5: Puja, Hawan, and Drive to Darchen (4700 meters) – 40 KMs, 1 hour drive.
It’s a very auspicious day for all Yatries. The abode of god will be a lifetime achievement. Puja, Hawan, Holy bath and spiritual activities etc. Afternoon drive to Darchen. Accommodation at Darchen in a standard hotel on 2-4 sharing.
Food: Vegetarian Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 6: Drive to Yamdwar and trek to Diraphuk (4900 meters) – 12 KMs, 6 hours walk.
After breakfast, we will drive till Yamdwar which is 7 KMs from Darchen then trek to Diraphuk. Today’s trek will be our first day of a walk to Kailash Parikrama. The trail is easy to moderate. On the way, we can see Mount Kailash from different angles. Once we reach Diraphuk we can see the most prominent view of Mount Kailash. Accommodation at Deraphuk in a guesthouse on dormitory sharing.
Food: Vegetarian Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 7: Trek to Zuthulphuk (4700 meters) via DolmaLa Pass (5600 metres) – 22 KMs, 8-10 hours walk.
Today we need to wake up early in the morning as this is the day every pilgrim talks about the most important as well as the difficult journey throughout the trip, the trek goes steep hiking up to Dolma La High pass (5600m) and downhill trek via Gaurikunda. The trail till the summit of the mountain pass is properly paved and quite wide for a comfortable walk. Only for a short distance before the top, it is little narrow. You need to be little careful about ponies/horses while walking and don’t walk on the edge when a pony/horse crossing. After the top, it is complete downhill till the lunch place then it is mostly flat till Zuthulphuk. Accommodation at Zuthulphuk in Guesthouse on dormitory sharing. Food: Vegetarian Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 8: Trek to ending point and drive to Taklakot / Hilsa / Simikot, 116 KMs, 5 hours.
Wake up early in the morning have tea/coffee/cookies, the we will start our walk (2 hours) to reach the end point where our Bus / Jeep will be waiting then drive to Darchen (parikarma Circuit ends) and merge with other members who were waiting. After breakfast, we will drive to Taklakot/Hilsa /simikotFood: Vegetarian Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 9: Taklakot / Hilsa to Simikot / Nepalganj.
Early morning drive to Nepal border (if stay Taklakot) as soon as possible sift to Simikot by Helicopter. If weather is good we will fly to Nepalganj. Accommodation in a standard hotel on 2-  6 sharing.Food: Vegetarian Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 10: Extra day at Simikot / Nepalganj.
This is an extra rest day for all Pilgrims. Program sometime might be delay due to weather problem. Overnight Simikot / Nepalganj. Accommodation in a 3 star hotel on twin sharing (Nepalganj only).Food: Vegetarian Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 11: Departure
Airport transport / onward journey.
Food: Vegetarian Breakfast.

Important Notes

Minimum 6 month valid passport & 2 copies of PP size photograph. A normal health certificate from your personal doctors & travel insurance coverage for medicine, evacuation, loss of belongings and trip cancellation are strongly recommended.

Bring with you:
Strong water bottle, Sun Glasses, Sun Cream, Torch Light with extra batteries and bulbs, Mask, Paper Soap, chocolates,  dry food, Glucose, Your own regular medicine etc.

Casual wears & comfortable trekking shoes, warm clothing for nights & mornings (strictly no saree), Raincoats, Thermal innerwear, warm trousers and shirts, woolen gloves, Balaclava, Sun Hat, Woolen socks, scarves.

Important Note: Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary but please keep in mind this is adventure travel in a remote mountain region. Weather conditions, availability of porters and the health of travellers can all contribute to changes. The guides and the Sherpa assistants will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if necessary.
